Rusti is currently living in foster in Spain after he was found with his sister Harper.
At the moment, the puppies are very young so it’ll take some more time before their personalities start to show though. It is very difficult to give sizes for puppies as we do not know the mother or father of the litter. Adopters need to be mindful of this. Rusti is being raised in a home with a large number of other dogs of all different breeds, ages, and sizes. There are cats they will be growing up with and visitors of all ages too. Podenco puppies are very cute, but they need consistent training, patience and understanding especially through the adolescent phase where we find a lot of people tend to struggle. If you apply to adopt a podenco puppy, please ensure you have properly thought through the challenges you might face whilst they mature into a wonderful adult where you can then reap the rewards of your hard work. It is a wonderful experience to bring up a pod puppy, but it is not for the faint hearted!
Rusti will be vaccinated and tested for all Mediterranean diseases. He is be passported and available for adoption now, he will be ready to travel in September and will require neutering at the appropriate age.
