Aspen is currently living in foster in Spain after she was found with her sister and brother.
At the moment, the puppies are very young so it’ll take some more time before their personalities start to show though. It is very difficult to give sizes for puppies as we do not know the father of the litter but the mother was medium to large sized so we’d expect the puppies to be at least medium sized. Adopters need to be mindful of this. Aspen is being raised in a home with a large number of other podencos of different ages and sizes. Podenco puppies are very cute, but they need consistent training, patience and understanding especially through the adolescent phase where we find a lot of people tend to struggle. If you apply to adopt a podenco puppy, please ensure you have properly thought through the challenges you might face whilst they mature into a wonderful adult where you can then reap the rewards of your hard work. It is a wonderful experience to bring up a pod puppy, but it is not for the faint hearted!
Aspen will be vaccinated and tested for all Mediterranean diseases. She is be passported and is available for adoption, she will be ready to travel in September and will need to be neutered at the appropriate age.
